On May 7th, The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce hosted the 15th Annual Waldwick Chamber of Commerce 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk. The race theme coincided with National Lemonade Day and we partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation whose mission statement is to change the lives of children with cancer through funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer.
The weather was fantastic with close to 600 runners and walkers crossing the finish line. Rob Albano, from Mahwah ran a blistering 15:28 to win the 5K Run followed by a photo finish for second and third place. Jorge Hernandez ran an 18:36 narrowly beating out Emma Bradley by .06 of a second at 18:36:06.
Top Waldwick winners were Ryan Soderlund 19:16 and Jessica Andre 19:20.
