The WCOC gives back by supporting our local chamber restaurants by purchasing gift cards and treats and giving to our local police, fire, ambulance and DPW. Our local heroes have been working all throughout this pandemic and we can’t thank them enough! Our restaurants have been hit the hardest and trying to adapt to these changing times to stay in business. Remember to shop local this holiday season more than ever! #shopsmall #bethankful #waldwick #localheroes #police #firefighters #ambulance #departmentpublicworks Matthews Diner, The Village Grille, Reinholds Quality Bakery, Mimi’s Cookies, Olive Branch & Grape Vine, 7eleven waldwick
On August 2nd, members of the Marine aviation unit VMGR 452 held their 1st Annual Golf Outing at Mansion Ridge , N. The outing was held to remember the 15 fallen Marines and 1 Navy personnel on Yanky 72 who were tragically killed in an air crash on July 10, 2017.
Money raised from the event will be donated to the Wingman Foundation. A charity which supports fallen Marine and Naval aviators.
The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce made a generous donation to the fund in honor of Marine Gunnery Sgt Mark Hopkins who was on Yanky 72 when it crashed. Gunny Sgt Hopkins had served with Officer Christopher Goodell in the Marines. He had run and supported our 5K Run with his fellow Marines in honor of Officer Goodell and SSgt
In appreciation and recognition for our past support of the Wingman Foundation the event coordinator assigned the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce a golf hole as a sponsor.
Thank you all for your support.
I can’t thank you enough for your continued support of our students. You are so generous with your time and expertise and we are so thankful for you. The students really enjoy this activity which would not be possible without your help. I believe it is such a valuable learning experience for them in terms of collaboration, presentation skills, creative analysis, and critical thinking.
