The inaugural “Taste of Waldwick” event hosted by the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce was an undeniable success, leaving attendees with an unforgettable experience. This culinary extravaganza brought together 17 food and beverage businesses from the town of Waldwick, each showcasing their finest and most tempting treats.
The event was spearheaded by Brian Mackey, past president of the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce and travel adviser and owner of Cruise Planners. The event which took place at the Hermitage in HoHoKus generated immense excitement and anticipation, resulting in a sold-out crowd of eager food enthusiasts. Attendees were in for a mouthwatering journey as they wandered through a sea of delectable dishes, snacks, and beverages, each lovingly crafted by passionate local restaurateurs and vendors.
From savory gourmet bites to desserts, the” Taste of Waldwick” had something to satisfy every palate. Whether it was Italian, Indian, Mexican or American cuisine there was no shortage of culinary delights to savor. Appetizers, soups, crepes, desserts as well as wine and beer sampling left the most discerning foodies in awe of the diverse and high-quality offerings.
Beyond the exceptional food and drinks, the event also served as a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together for a wonderful cause supporting Turn the Towns Teal which makes women and men aware of ovarian cancer subtle symptoms. Through the generosity of our local businesses, participants and volunteers we were able to donate $2,500 to Turn the Towns Teal. Live music and generous door prizes were highlights of the evening.
As the sun set and the evening grew warmer with laughter and camaraderie, it was evident that “First Taste of Waldwick” was more than just a food festival; it was a celebration of local talent and a testament to the vibrant spirit of this tight-knit community.
In the end, the success of the event was a testament to the rich and diverse culinary scene that Waldwick has to offer. ” Taste of Waldwick” is sure to become an eagerly awaited annual tradition, promising to continue showcasing the town’s delicious delights and strengthening the bonds that make Waldwick such a special place.
