On June 15th, members of American Legion Post 57 ,VFW Post 1049 , Ramsey VFW Post 682 along with Allendale Scout troop 59 retired over a thousand United States flags. The newly constructed fire pit where we retire the flags was an Eagle Scout project coordinated by Dean Asplund from Troop 59.
Veterans from the Paramus VA home also attended. Ramsey VFW Post 682 hosted the event and a BBQ. This patriotic event annually takes place at Crestwood Lake in Allendale on flag day weekend
